Teacher Appreciation Week

We are so blessed with B's K teacher (above is at the holiday program). I have been going to their class every other week this year to do different projects with the class in small groups. In doing this, I have seen her in action and have worked one on one with all of the kids in the class. There is no way a parent can put into words how much a teacher means to them and how much they appreciate them (I guess if you don't like them it is always possible - ha ha). I have just been amazed this year to watch learning take place with B. I have always seen this as he has developed as a child and has learned from many teachers, but this year has had a lot of new things to watch. I will be sad for him to leave her class - and because he will be leaving K and will be old enough for 1st grade. I know that there are so many wonderfully talented teachers that will cross paths with B and E. It really amazes me to think about the responsibility a teacher has to recognize and discern the needs of children, their strengths & weaknesses, their cries for help, their need for attention, the time to discipline, how to love the un-lovable...so many things a teacher does for a child when their paths cross. Teachers are able to make an imprint on all children that come through their classrooms. That is a small part of the entire blueprint that makes up who these little people become. Just amazing. I am very thankful for the teachers that teach and care for my children each and every day.
