Working out of my cocoon

I am working my way out of this cocoon I have been in for 4 .5 days now. Wow. This flu bug is awful. I have made my way to the couch today. I felt better yesterday afternoon. A friend, Ruth, brought us some wonderful soup for dinner. I decided I felt well enough to sit at the table and eat with Mark and the kids. Once I had eaten, my shoulders were shaking and I had no energy left. Back to bed I went. I woke up this morning feeling SO much better. Mark had to go out of town again today, so I decided I would take E to school. The longer I was up, I felt that I could go to work for a few hours. After finally having E and myslef dressed, we head out the door. I make it through dropping her off and as I walk out, the sweat appears on my brow. I begin to feel weak, but head to the office anyway. I am driving around in the rain, no parking close. At this point, I am shaking and sweating. So, I called in and told Liz that I was headed back home. So, now I am back on the couch. However, I am no longer under the weight of 2 quilts in addition to the sheets and spread of our bed. I don't have the chills like earlier this week; my cough is much better; more energy. I think I am on my way to coming out of this darkness called the flu.

THANK YOU!!! To those who have helped with the kids, brought over dinner and called to check on me!

Oh my goodness! The flu?! I'm glad you're doing better. The last time I was able to read any of your posts was the day you invited me to join! That said... I've had quite a bit to catch up on. One day when I have a computer in my house, maybe I'll be better at all of this!

Could you send me your email address? I can't seem to find it. I've been wanting to "invite" you to read my blog, but haven't been able to email you.

Get well!
