répondez, s'il vous plaît

Otherwise known as RSVP. So many people do not heed this request when it is noted on an invitaiton. This is just an observation in life and a pet peeve of mine. It isn't that I just want to know who is coming to a gathering, it is the only way that I can prepare food and make sure that I have enough. That leads to another thing about me. When I am having anyone over to our home for a meal, I get anxious about the amount of food. Mark would tell you that I always over-prepare. I would say that I am adequately prepared. :) I can break out into a sweat as guests are moving past the buffet of food we have, or if the bowls are being passed around the table. I have a true fear that the amount of food prepared will not be enough. I would be mortified if anyone were ever at my house and didn't get enough or anything to eat. So many quirks about me...I know.

AMEN sista! I think it is incredibly rude to not respond. I always put "regrets only" but you still never know. And Wes gets so frustrated with me at the amount of appetizers I put out when folks are coming over. I had much rather have way too much...

Exactly. Mark can't stand the amount of food I always prepare for anything - evn kids parties. I have tried "regrets only" and the same thing happens. I just don't get it. It isn't that I am begging people to attend anything, I like to plan!!
